01About HelpMuslim
HelpMuslim is a crowdfunding technology platform operated by Edones, a company registered in India under the Companies Act. HelpMuslim connects donors with campaign creators for charitable, humanitarian, medical, educational, and community causes. HelpMuslim is not a charity, NGO, or non-profit organization. We are a technology platform and payment collection agent operating lawfully under Indian law.
02Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HelpMuslim, creating a campaign, or making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this platform.
03Platform Legal Identity
HelpMuslim operates as a technology intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act 2000, a payment collection agent under Razorpay's Payment Aggregator license, and a platform service provider under Indian contract law. Edones collects donations on behalf of campaign creators via Razorpay. We are not the beneficiary of any donation except our disclosed 5% platform fee.
04How Payments Work
All donations on HelpMuslim are collected by Edones via Razorpay on behalf of campaign creators. The donor makes payment via Razorpay on HelpMuslim. Payment is credited to Edones company bank account. Edones deducts 5% as platform fee. Remaining 95% is transferred to the campaign creator's verified bank account within 7 working days. Transfer receipt is published on HelpMuslim's Transparency page. By donating, the donor authorizes Edones to collect funds on behalf of the campaign creator they are supporting.
05Platform Fee
HelpMuslim charges a platform fee of 5% of total donations collected per campaign. This fee covers payment gateway charges, KYC verification costs, platform operations and maintenance, customer support, and legal and compliance costs. The 5% fee is clearly disclosed to donors before payment and to campaign creators before campaign approval. This fee is non-refundable once a campaign is live.
06Campaign Creator Authorization
By creating a campaign on HelpMuslim, the campaign creator authorizes Edones to collect donations on their behalf via Razorpay, authorizes deduction of 5% platform fee before disbursement, confirms their bank account details are correct and match KYC documents, agrees to receive 95% of total donations raised after fee deduction, accepts that transfers will be made within 7 working days, and accepts full responsibility for any income tax on amounts received.
07KYC Mandatory Verification
All campaign creators must complete full KYC verification before their campaign is approved and made live and before any funds are transferred to their account. Required documents for Indian creators are Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank account number and IFSC code, and account holder name matching Aadhaar. HelpMuslim uses third-party KYC services to verify identity. False documents will result in permanent ban and legal action.
08Campaign Creator Responsibilities
By creating a campaign, the creator confirms all campaign information is accurate, truthful, and not misleading. Funds will be used only for the stated campaign purpose. Regular progress updates will be shared with donors. The campaign does not violate any Indian law. The creator is solely responsible for fund utilization. The creator is responsible for any tax liabilities on funds received. False or misleading campaigns will result in fund withholding and legal action.
09Donor Responsibilities
By making a donation, the donor has reviewed the campaign and is satisfied with its authenticity, understands that HelpMuslim verifies creator identity but cannot guarantee campaign outcomes, accepts that donations to live campaigns are non-refundable except as per Refund Policy, and authorizes Edones to collect the donated amount via Razorpay.
10Tax and TDS Compliance
HelpMuslim complies with Indian Income Tax laws. TDS is deducted at applicable rates on payouts to campaign creators where required under the Income Tax Act. TDS certificates are issued to campaign creators as required by law. Campaign creators are responsible for declaring received funds in their income tax returns. Donors may claim 80G deductions only if the campaign is run by a registered 80G-certified NGO, which HelpMuslim is not.
11Prohibited Campaigns
The following campaigns are strictly not permitted on HelpMuslim: fraudulent, fake, or misleading campaigns, political funding or election-related campaigns, campaigns supporting illegal activities or violence, campaigns promoting terrorism, extremism, or hatred, campaigns without verified creator identity, and campaigns violating any law of India. HelpMuslim reserves the right to remove any campaign without prior notice and withhold funds pending investigation.
12Fund Withholding
HelpMuslim reserves the right to withhold or freeze funds if KYC documents are found to be false or forged, suspicious activity is detected in a campaign, a complaint or legal notice is received regarding the campaign, or the campaign is found to violate these Terms. Withheld funds may be refunded to donors or handed to appropriate authorities as required.
13Limitation of Liability
Edones is not liable for loss arising from fraudulent user-created campaigns beyond our KYC verification, failure of campaign creators to utilize funds as stated, technical failures beyond our reasonable control, or loss of data due to force majeure events. Our maximum liability to any party shall not exceed the platform fee collected on the relevant transaction.
14Intellectual Property
All content on HelpMuslim including logo, design, text, and software is the property of Edones. Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission.
15Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, India. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through mediation before approaching courts.
16Changes to Terms
Edones reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
Compliance & Regulatory Framework
Institutional Grade Compliance
HelpMuslim is engineered to be fully compliant with Indian financial regulations, specifically targeting RBI, FEMA, and FCRA requirements through automated technical enforcement.
RBI and FEMA Compliance
Indian donors fund Indian campaigns only. HelpMuslim is 100% RBI and FEMA compliant by design. No Indian donor can make payment to an international campaign on this platform.
FCRA Exempted Flow
International funds never touch Indian campaigns. Geo-blocking at IP level and card level ensures zero foreign money inflow to domestic causes. FCRA registration is not required for HelpMuslim's operating model as foreign contributions never enter Indian campaigns.
IT Act Section 79 — Intermediary Protection
HelpMuslim operates as a technology intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act 2000. Edones operates as a platform and not as a beneficiary of any donation except its disclosed 5% platform fee.
KYC and Identity Verification
100% of campaign creators are identity verified before going live. No anonymous payouts are made. All fund transfers are made to KYC verified bank accounts only. This ensures zero money laundering risk.
Payment Gateway Security
All payments are processed via Razorpay, an RBI licensed payment aggregator. Highest level of transaction encryption is applied to all payments. Payment data is never stored by HelpMuslim.
Zero Conflict Zone Transfers
HelpMuslim makes no direct transfers to conflict zones. Humanitarian campaign funds are channeled exclusively through licensed partner NGOs or internationally recognized humanitarian organizations. This ensures zero ED and ATS risk for the platform and its users.
Domestic Campaign Summary
Indian User plus Indian Campaign equals 100% Legal. No FCRA needed. No RBI issues. All funds stay within Indian banking rails. Payments accepted via UPI, Indian debit cards, Indian credit cards, and Indian net banking only.
International Campaign Summary
International User plus International Campaign equals 100% Legal. Funds never enter India as a donation. HelpMuslim acts as a technology intermediary only. No Indian banking or RBI regulations are triggered.
Cross Border Blocking
Any attempt to fund an international campaign using Indian payment methods or to fund an Indian campaign using international payment methods is automatically blocked by HelpMuslim's IP Geo-Gate and card country detection system. This blocking operates at both platform level and payment gateway level simultaneously. Attempts to bypass this system using VPN or false information constitute a violation of these Terms and may result in permanent account suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
