01Data We Collect
From all users we collect full name, email address, mobile number, IP address and device information, and browser and usage data. From campaign creators we additionally collect Aadhaar number, PAN number, bank account number and IFSC code, account holder name, and KYC documents. From donors we additionally collect payment information processed via Razorpay and donation history.
02How We Use Your Data
We use your data for verifying identity of campaign creators via KYC, processing donations and transferring funds via Razorpay, communicating campaign updates and receipts, preventing fraud and ensuring platform security, complying with Indian legal and tax requirements, and improving platform experience.
03Third Parties We Share Data With
We share data only with necessary service providers. Razorpay for payment processing and payouts. Digio or Signzy for KYC verification. MSG91 for SMS notifications and OTP. AWS or Supabase for secure data storage. Indian tax authorities as required by law. Law enforcement when legally compelled. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data for marketing purposes.
04Data Security
All data is stored on servers located in India. We use 256-bit SSL encryption on all data transmission. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. KYC documents are stored in encrypted form. Payment data is never stored by HelpMuslim and is handled entirely by Razorpay.
05Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent, and know how your data is used. To exercise any right email info@helpmuslim.org.
06Data Retention
Active user data is retained while account is active. KYC documents are retained for 5 years as required by financial regulations. Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law. Deleted account data is removed within 30 days except legally required records.
