Sadaqah - Voluntary Charity

Sadaqah - Voluntary Charity

Sadaqah is a voluntary act of charity given purely out of compassion, love, friendship, or generosity. Unlike Zakat which is obligatory, Sadaqah is given freely with no expectation of return.

What is Sadaqah?

  • Given purely for the sake of Allah's pleasure
  • Can be given to anyone in need, not just Muslims
  • No fixed amount or time - can be given anytime

Difference Between Sadaqah and Zakat

  • Zakat is obligatory (2.5% of savings), Sadaqah is voluntary
